About NRF24L01+ PA+LNA Wireless Module
The NRF24L01+ PA+LNA module is a long-range 2.4GHz wireless transceiver built around the nRF24L01+ RF chip. Compared to the standard NRF24L01 module with a PCB antenna, this version adds a Power Amplifier (PA), a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and an external SMA antenna. Together these increase range to roughly 1000 metres in open, line-of-sight conditions.
It talks to your microcontroller over SPI, so it’s easy to use with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi and other MCUs. Built-in packet handling, automatic acknowledgement and auto-retransmit make reliable wireless links simple to build. It’s a good fit for remote controls, wireless sensor networks, RC vehicles, drones and home automation.
Key Features
- Operates in the license-free 2.4GHz ISM band

Important Usage Notes
- Do not connect VCC to 5V. It will permanently damage the module. Use 3.3V.
- The PA version draws high current while transmitting. Solder a 10µF–100µF capacitor across VCC and GND, or use an NRF24L01 base adapter board. Without it the module may reset or fail to communicate.
- An Arduino’s onboard 3.3V pin may not supply enough current. A separate 3.3V regulator is recommended.
- Always connect the antenna before powering the module.
- Real-world range depends on walls, obstacles, interference, data rate and power settings.
Library Support
Use the RF24 library by TMRh20 in the Arduino IDE. It supports Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32 and Raspberry Pi.
